COACHING FOR MANAGERS
Deloitte has published a great deal of research over the years advocating for new business and management models, particularly because more than two-thirds of millennials expect their managers to help them be prepared for the next level by providing intentional development opportunities (Bersin, 2015). Coaching your employees and helping them progress is the mark of a successful leader, as well as a manager who cares about getting the best out of their employees now and helping them continue to be successful later on. Similarly, Gallup's (2019) published research in It's the Manager, discusses in greater detail how leaders need to prepare their organizations to adapt to rapid changes in work culture ranging from new demands, to managing a diverse workforce, to engaging remote employees - among many others - and attracting and keeping the best employees. Thinking about the importance of strong leadership in driving organizational success and developing staff, we work with managers using a strengths-based approach to help them become more confident, creative and effective in supporting, developing and supervising staff. As a result of our coaching, managers will develop an organizational-specific action plan focused on: empowering employees, increasing emotional intelligence as a leader, applying strategies that leverage each employee's individual strengths, asking the right questions, and identifying feedback mechanisms to continue developing as a manager.
